Your help is needed to fill raffle baskets for the Adams Spring Carnival!  Each grade has a theme and is filling a basket that will be raffled off at the Spring Carnival on March 17.  The grade that has the most raffle tickets bought for their basket will win a surprise at recess.  Items can be sent in or brought to the office until February 26.  Thank you for your donations!

The PTA has new recess equipment for the winning class!  

The deadline for the second Box Tops contest of the school year is February 23 and the PTA has some new recess equipment for the class with the highest Box Tops total after the second deadline.  Feel free to send Box Tops to school any time before the deadline.  We will take them any way you send them (baggies or taped to a collection sheet).  Remember to put the teacher's name on the bag or paper!

PTA Update February 5-9

Please remember, there is an Early Release this Friday, February 9.  There is also Saturday school for Tracks 1,2 & 3 this Saturday, February 10.  This weekly update will help to keep you informed about PTA activities and volunteer opportunities. 


1- The PTA needs your help to fill raffle baskets for the Spring Carnival.  A flyer with all the details was sent home with each student.  You can also find information on the PTA website,  Each grade is assigned a theme for their basket and the grade that has the most raffle tickets bought for their basket will win a surprise at recess.

2- Please join us at Bond Brothers Brewery for a PTA Social!  On Thursday, February 15th from 7-9pm, the PTA is heading to Bond Brothers, 202 E. Cedar St, Cary.  All parents are welcome to come have fun, socialize and meet each other.

3- The PTA is encouraging our members to wear red every Wednesday in support of public education.

4- The PTA Spring Fundraiser will take place February 5-16.  This year we are raising money for the purchase of new iPads.  Instead of Boosterthon or selling any type of item, we are simply asking for parents, grandparents and friends of Adams to send in donations.  All donations to the PTA are tax deductible.  More information will be sent home on February 5 (or February 12 for Track 3).

5- Mark your calendar for the Spring Carnival which will take place on Saturday, March 17.  More details to come!

6- The PTA is hosting an Early Release Lunch for our teachers and staff this Friday, February, 9.  We are bringing in Ole Time BBQ for them and would appreciate donations of desserts and someone to help with set-up and clean-up.  Please use the sign-up genius to sign up for this event:

Volunteer Opportunities:

1- Garden-If you would like to come and help students navigate their way through the school garden on Garden Days, please sign up on the Sign Up Genius:  No experience necessary.  Approved WCPSS Volunteers only.

2- Character Education Recognitions -Volunteers are needed to check students in, welcome parents and take group photos.   Approved WCPSS Volunteers only.  If you can volunteer at any ceremony, please visit the Sign Up Genius. 

3- PTA Officer Positions- The PTA is looking for a President & Vice President for the 2018-2019 school year.  This is a very unique opportunity to learn more about Adams and serve your community.  No experience necessary & there are a lot of people to support you in your position.  If you are interested in learning more, please email Megan Dezendorf:
